Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Jammu – Katra
Arrive at Jammu Airport or Railway Station. Rover Holidays representative will welcome you warmly and will transfer you to Katra by surface. Check-in at hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 : Katra
Go for trek to Mata Vaishnow Devi Shrine in early morning. You can arrange pony if you do not want to trek by your own. Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples. It is one of the most visited shrines in India. Return back to Katra in the late night. Dinner and overnight stay at Katra.
Day 03 : Katra – Dharamshala
Breakfast at hotel in Katra. Drive to Dharamshala. Dharamshala is situated in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Check-in at hotel upon arrival. Rest of the day is at leisure. You get chance to get relaxed after tiresome journey. Dinner and overnight stay is at hotel.
Day 04 : Dharamshala
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Go for sightseeing in Dharamshala. McLeod Ganj, Bhagsu Nath, Forsyth Ganj, Naddi, Kotwali Bazaar, etc are the popular suburb in the city. McLeod Ganj is famous for Tibetan market and residence of Dalai Lama. Shop handicraft and artifact items from McLeod Ganj. Namgyal Monastery is one of the must visit sites. Visit the popular ancient temples like Jwalamukhi, Brijeshwari and Chamunda that lie on the plains below Dharamshala. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05 : Dharamshala – Dalhousie
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Dalhousie from Dharamshala. Dalhousie is full of amazing sights, blessed with all the natural bounties, surrounded by snow-caped peaks, trekking and hiking trails and is known for its immense natural beauty all over the world. Check-in at hotel upon arrival. Dinner and night stay at hotel.
Day 06 : Dalhousie
Breakfast will be served in hotel. Morning sightseeing tour. Explore charming colonial architecture, beautiful churches, Dhauladhar mountain range of Himalaya, etc. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 07 : Dalhousie
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Move toward Khajjiar. Khajjiar is dotted with thick forests of deodar, small lakes and springs. Khajjiar is one of the favourite retreats for visitors. It is best place for natural sightseeing. Proceed toward Chamba. Khajjiar is the gateway to Chamba. Chamba is the hub of colorful culture and tradition. Chamba is abode of ancient Hindu culture, art, temples, and handicrafts.
It stands on the bank of river Ravi. The place is known for its splendid architecture. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08 : Dalhousie – Pathankot (Departure)
Breakfast at hotel. Rover Holidays representative will help you get transferred to Pathankot. Catch train for onward journey to home city.
